Importance and Excellence of Khidmat-e-khalq

Service (Khidmat) is a comprehensive word, this word has a wide meaning. "Khalq" means creation and it applies to every living thing on the earth. It is our religious and moral duty to serve them as much as possible, to take care of them, to treat them better, and guide them. The Allah Almighty has also given and the teachings of the Holy Prophet ï·º (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also emphasize this regard. Understanding the class of service to mankind in religion will make it easier to understand its broader meaning.


The literal meaning of "Khidmat-e-Khalq" is to serve the creation and in the term of Islam, the meaning of Khidmat-e-Khalq is to help all creatures, especially human beings, in legitimate matters to obtain the satisfaction of the truth.



By serving people, a person gets great honor and respect not only in the hearts of people but also in the eyes of Allah Almighty. He becomes entitled to the pleasure and closeness of Allah Almighty and the one who serves God's creation becomes an example of this verse of Sheikh Saadi, (peace be upon him) "Everyone who serves or is sacrificed.  That is, the person who serves others (there comes a time when) people are forced to serve him"


Among the important qualities of believers mentioned in the Holy Qur'an are spending in the way of Allah, caring for orphans, and feeding the poor. And these attributes have not only been encouraged but the promise of blazing fire has been given for not adopting these attributes. The last prophet of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad ï·º (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spent his whole life in the service of others.


One of the way that Muslims can serve humanity is through acts of charity. Muslims are encouraged to give freehandedly to those in necessity, whether it be through Zakat, Sadaqah( voluntary charity), or other means. In addition to charity, Muslims are also encouraged to engage in acts of kindness and service towards others. This can include volunteering at regional institutions, helping out in the community, and supporting those who are stumbling. Muslims are encouraged to serve others in Different ways, whether it be through acts of charity, kindness, or support. By doing so, they can earn the pleasure of Allah and contribute to assembling a better world for all.


Islam is a religion that points up the importance of serving others, especially those in need. Muslims believe that serving mankind is a way of serving Allah (God), and they are encouraged to do so in various ways. The vision of service in Islam is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Quran and the example set by the Prophet Muhammad  ï·º (peace be upon him).


In Islam, one of the attributes that must be possessed by an excellent human being is the attribute of service to creation, and the person who possesses such an attribute has been declared a good human being. What has been pointed out in the Service of Creation is related to the rights of the slaves (حقوق العباد).
